15K COURSE DETAILS

RED PIN FLAGGING

  • The 15K starts by taking the JHMR hillside trails: Lower Faces Loop, across Seven Bridges and to Saratoga. You’ll run the bike trails up to the Casper chair lift. Take in the views before descending down the Wildflower trail switchbacks to the finish line.

15K Runners will gain ~1,800 FT. over the first 5-6 miles and descend the same amount in the last 4 miles. This is a great beginner option for those who don't want to reach the elevation or distance of the 30K. However, this is not a walking or hiking course due to strict cut off times in place as the mountain bike course opens.

AID STATIONS (CUPLESS)

There are 2 cupless aid stations along the 15K course.
Casper is the largest with bathrooms.

AS #1: HOBACK - Water/Electrolyte/Gels
AS #2: CASPER
(chair lift at wildflower trail junction) - Fully stocked

- GU Roctane Gels (Blueberry Pomegranate, Sea Salt Chocolate, Salted Lime)
- Tailwind electrolyte drink
- Water
- Assorted sweet and salty snacks
- Fruit, pickles/pickle juice

CUT OFF TIMES

9:45 AM cut off at the Casper aid station (~6 miles in). This gives you 2 hours & 45 minutes to complete the first half of the race. This is in place because the bike course opens and becomes a safety issue. If you slowly walk or hike, you will not make it. Please save selfie pictures for the last half of the course.
